Firstly, the president GW Bush begins its speech with an allusion with the beauty of his country: the United States. He explains some environmental
efforts with examples as we can't repudiate it. His idea to give youth award to children is original and his idea to reward them to their environmental efforts too. It's satisfying and
motivating, and it's important to make us sensitive because they are the future generation, they are those who will act to solve the environmental problem later. It is a good initiative to reward
them for what they have done.
Unfortunately, this event could be doubtful because the reasons are not clear. The president G.W. Bush doesn't appear really as a president concerned by environmental problems with his positions,
he is unconvincing. The event is touching because there are children and it should be calculated in order to move people. He didn't ratify the Kyoto protocol which was an important environmental
commitment. He chooses to involve his economy and to neglect the environment.
To conclude, as I've already said this document is very interesting because it gives us another vision of the American president but the issue is
double, people could believe or not this "performance". Maybe he only wants to be more appreciated or he is really concerned by this problem. From my point of view it is a good initiative but it
is not really concrete and not immediately effective.
